Yale Stewart’s Little League is a Sunday funnies send up to the Justice League of America featuring Batman, Superman, Wonder Woman and the rest of the Super Friends as Peanut sized heroes. The online comic strip updates bi-weekly and perfectly captures the nature of DC’s crime fighters from Bruce Wayne’s unending brood-fest to Clark Kent’s selflessness. Little League is charming, clever, and in the simplest of terms: funny.

Review: X-men Legacy #263

In this third and final issue of this Lost Tribes arc, we see Rouge’s decision to call in some of Cyclops’s soliders into Wolverine’s struggle against the mutant prophet Exodus. While generation hope is eager to lend a hand and show their worth to Logan, the X-men turned teacher is less than willing to share another battle with young mutants.
It is odd that the first story arc of Legacy since X-men Re-genesis would quickly cut to the core of the split mutant matter. Where as Uncanny X-men and Wolverine and the X-men have put some distance between the child warrior debate and each book has spun off into different story threads, Legacy decides to give Rouge a chance to examine the longer effects of the X-men’s Schism.
Comic Book Menace
More than a month ago AMC premiered the Kevin Smith and friends reality show “Comic Book Men.” The program was met with almost immediate disdain from the comic book community. But with the winning recipe of the tried and true reality television format and Kevin Smith’s face shamelessly slapped on the label, where could Comic Book Men go wrong?
How about everywhere…
Internet Awards Funny Man Million Dollars
This is Louis CK. He’s a professional comedian, maybe you’ve seen his brilliant show on FX, Louie.
Louie like many other comedians, is trying to making a living in the entertainment industry while the Internet is constantly out-dating traditional sales models and bursting at the seems with piracy.
So one day, Louie thought: What if he just logged in himself and asked if anyone would buy an exclusive stand up special for just five bucks? No DRM, no strings attached. There’s no way he’d be able to earn much with those evil pirates who’d just split his material amongst the web lurking everywhere right?
Less than two weeks after CK’s comedy special went online Louis reported over a million dollars in sales. Call it a fluke but maybe the right guy can earn a living online without the intellectual property police blocking up the Internet…
3 Things AMC’s The Walking Dead Taught Me About Television
Come and gone is another Season, (half-season) of AMC’s The Walking Dead. The post apocalyptic drama that everyone loves to hate, and by everyone I mean me.
The first thing anyone should know about The Walking Dead is that you should never watch it in the same room as me, it’s almost as unpleasant as living along side of Rick, Shane, Glenn and all the other survivors in a world filled with groaning cannibals. So now that the hit series is taking a mid-season break, what have we learned from living amongst the dead? Spoilers after the bump
The classic Chinese opera Butterfly’s Love is coming to Scranton. The award winning Shanghai Yue Opera will preform a traditional tragedy often compared to Romeo and Juliet at Marywood Universities’ Sette LaVerghetta Center for the Performing Arts this weekend. The opera is part of a preforming arts exchange organized by the US-China Cultural and Educational Foundation.
Action Comics #1 Review: Morrison Gets it Right
Probably the biggest title to come from DC’s New 52 is Grant Morrison’s relaunched Action Comics. The series has not been officially renumbered since 1938 when the original issue introduced Superman to the world. This month, Morrison introduces us to a different man of steel, who just may be more interesting than the Superman we’re used to…
Detective Comics #1 Review: Tunnel Vision
DC continues it’s New 52 initiative this week with an all new Detective Comics helmed by Tony S. Daniel, who previously drew and wrote Batman. Detective #1 kicks things off with a very simple demonstration of how things operate in Gotham, it’s very reminiscent of Frank Millar’s Year One and some points feel very inspired by Nolan’s The Dark Knight.
Arkham City Hits Harder the Second Time Around
Rocksteady Studios Community Manager Sarah Wellock has brought to light a few details regarding Batman: Arkham City’s New Game Plus mode.
After completing the game on either Normal or Hard difficulty players will unlock the new mode that carries over XP and Bat-Gadgets from a previous game file.
The enemies encountered in Arkham City will be tougher from the start, including boss characters who will be, “more cunning”
Batman Arkham City will be released October 18 2011 for the Playstation 3, Xbox 360, and Windows PC

When DC first announced its New 52, many people weren’t sure what to expect. Then came the day when the Bat-family books were announced, including a new Batgirl starring the original, Barbara Gordon.
